Jeanne Weggel, APNP

Jeanne is an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber who currently is the Coordinator for Sacred Heart Hospital's Palliative Care Service. She has a master's degree in adult health nursing, a certification in hospice and palliative nursing and is an End-of-life Nursing Education Consortium Trainer. She has experience in hospice and home care nursing, is a Pain Resource Nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital and is current chairperson of the Chippewa Valley CARE Coalition. Jeanne has published articles on end-of-life care and is a frequent speaker on topics covering end-of-life nursing for community, university and professional audiences. Within the past two years she has received the Excellence in Clinical Practice Award from Sigma Theta Tau, the Nursing Practice Award from the Wisconsin Nurses Association and the Ihle Family Award for Caring through the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
