Grant Committee Biographies
Patricia Cartmill, CLT, BS, MSAP
Patricia has worked in health care for 16 years as a Clinical Lab Technologist prior to achieving her bachelor degree in Psychology. During her pursuit of her master's degree in Applied Psychology, she provided nutritional, health, and behavioral guidance as a Health Educator. Currently, she is part of the Health Promotions team with the American Cancer Society. She was part of the Quality of Life planning committee for the Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Plan which addressed quality of life issues such as programs and services available, pain management, and palliative care. When her father was diagnosed with cancer she became one of his prime caretakers along with her mother. One of the things that she found extremely helpful was advanced planning with her parents. Getting her parents to think about these things and acting on them was challenging, but well worth it in the end. As a member of the CARE Coalition she shares her experience by conducting presentations on advance planning to groups and organizations in the Chippewa Valley.
