Display Board Invitation

Is your agency looking for educational topics that are important to employees and costumers? Did you know that your organization could set up our Chippewa Valley Care Coalition display board within your facility for up to a month at a time? As our Web Site describes, we are a non-profit organization started in 2000 by a local group of multidisciplinary professionals dedicated to improving end-of-life care through Communication, Advance Planning, Resources and Education. Our group serves as a source of information about end-of-life care options and resources. One of these resources is a display board which illustrates Advance Directives and end of life decisions such as "Do Not Resuscitate". This display board has been used for the last several years at venues such as Senior American Day, Woman to Woman and Women Rock and always generates interest and requests for more information We are inviting organizations to participate in getting the word out about Advance Directives and End of Life Issues. We know that many individuals may be unsure how to approach this subject or may feel awkward doing so. "I'm afraid to think about it"..."If I bring it up, something bad might happen:" "I'm too young to have to think about this" .."What if someone thinks I'm just giving up?" These statements are often expressed regarding end of life issues. Having a conversation about it may be overwhelming at first. But……..reading about it may be a good first step. Our display boards provide information in a user friendly format offering suggestions about an issue we all will face at some point in our lives, whether for ourselves or for our loved ones. Your organization may be an optimal site to share this information with the public in an easy format. We also provide handouts for individuals to take with them in the event they are interested or have questions. These can be placed with the display and would not require any employees to "staff" the booth. Would you be willing to have us display our board at your site sometime this year?
